Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Medical Assistant (MA) / Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Nursing – RH Primary Care team!
This position is open to candidates with credentials as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse. Title and responsibilities will be based on certification, experience, and scope of practice.
The clinical support team member (CNA/MA/CMA/LPN) plays a vital role in the clinic setting, performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to support patient care across the outpatient continuum. This role functions under the supervision of a licensed medical professional and includes delegated interventions appropriate to the individual's training and scope of practice, in accordance with state regulations.
Certified or registered Medical Assistants (CMAs) are strongly encouraged to apply, but qualified CNAs, MAs, and LPNs will also be considered.
HOURS: Full time or 1.0 FTE; 80 hours bi-weekly; Day Shift
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from an accredited MA program or three years equivalence in medical background and experience.Previous healthcare experience beneficial.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable BLS training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy).Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer patient care.Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.Skill in preparing and maintaining records and responding to correspondence.Skill in developing and maintaining relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards.Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.Ability to interpret, adapts, and applies guidelines and procedures.Possesses good verbal and written communication skills.
