Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.

Every day, you will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and actively contribute to the patient's plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being.

What you'll do...

Provides basic nursing care within scope of practice and according to age specific needs. -bathing, hygiene, feeding, elimination needs, and patient activities.Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care.Performs assigned nursing data collection and reports any irregularities to appropriate nursing personal in timely manner vital signs, weights, intake and output, and glucose readings.Participates in implementation of care plan according to individual patient needs; distributes water glasses, meal trays and snacks in a timely manner, collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens following correct procedure.Assists designated personnel with procedures, treatments or examinations as required.Uses equipment properly and safely, reports malfunctions appropriately scales-infant, standing, chair, wheelchair, bed scale, B/P recording devices with pulse oximeters, tympanic thermometers, Hoyer lift, gait belt, restraints, lead application for telemetry unit.
Job Requirements

Required

Completion of Nurse Assistant Program.Previous healthcare experience.Certified Nursing Assistant issued by the state of North Dakota (ND). Basic Life Support - BLS issued by the American Heart Association, within 30 Days of start date.

CHI Oakes Hospital, is a 20-bed critical access hospital that provides various inpatient and outpatient services to approximately 14,000 people in southeastern North Dakota. It is also a 24-Hour Emergency Level V Trauma Center. The hospital building was newly-constructed in 2007, replacing a 50-year old building, and in 2010, Oakes Community Clinic was opened within the hospital building.
