Job Summary

We are looking for a technically strong and visionary Architect to lead the design of our Multi-Cloud Management Platform (MCMP) and FinOps system. This role requires deep understanding of cloud infrastructure orchestration, enterprise FinOps frameworks, and large-scale platform architecture. You will help define how enterprises govern, optimize, and automate their use of multi-cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect and evolve a scalable MCMP framework that provides:

  - Unified Multi-Cloud Resource Management – lifecycle orchestration (provision, update, destroy) across AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, and private cloud.

  - Blueprint Orchestration Engine – infrastructure-as-code templates (e.g., Terraform, Helm, ARM) for repeatable, policy-governed service deployment.

  - Self-Service Portal & API Gateway – multi-tenant, catalog-driven interfaces for developer and operations teams.

  - Access Control & Policy Framework – identity-aware RBAC/ABAC, quota enforcement, region/network isolation.

- Lead FinOps architecture initiatives including:

  - Cloud Billing Integration – ingestion and normalization of cost/billing data from hyperscalers and private platforms.

  - Chargeback/Showback Engine – accurate cost allocation by project, BU, or tenant with customizable cost models.

  - Cost Optimization Engine – AI-driven insights for idle resource detection, right-sizing, commitment management, and scheduling.

  - Forecasting & Budget Guardrails – anomaly detection, budget burn tracking, and proactive alerts.

  - Carbon-Aware Scheduling – placement strategies and metrics to reduce carbon footprint of cloud workloads.

- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, SREs, and finance stakeholders to turn business goals into scalable architecture patterns.

- Ensure platform is extensible to support future innovations including AI-native services, intelligent governance, and hybrid edge-cloud integration.

- Benchmark MCMP/FinOps design against industry leaders like HPE Morpheus, CloudHealth, Apptio, and native CSP tools.

Qualifications

- 8+ years of experience in cloud platform architecture, DevOps, or infrastructure software, with 3+ years focused on multi-cloud or FinOps systems.

- Deep understanding of cloud provider APIs, billing systems, and resource governance frameworks.

- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes Operators).

- Experience with FinOps data pipelines, cost analytics engines, and business metrics integration.

- Familiarity with Open Policy Agent (OPA), Kyverno, or other policy-as-code systems for governance automation.

- Exposure to sustainability computing and carbon-intelligent workload scheduling is a strong plus.

- Skilled in cross-platform integration, performance optimization, and security design.

- Strong communication, documentation, and leadership capabilities.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
