Within Barco, the Operational Quality Team implements, administers, and continually improves Quality Control & Quality Assurance, to support manufacturing, industrialization and warehouse management. The team consists of a production Quality Assurance department and an Incoming Quality Control team.
The CMM programmer is responsible for programming, implementing, and operating dimensional inspections using a coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure compliance with parts specifications.
Your responsibilities:
Review and discuss the drawing information in function of inspection capabilities and tolerances with R&D department Define the measurement method on CMM: Determining clamping and alignment methods Selecting appropriate probes Defining measurement fixtures Create CMM dimensional inspection programs (MCosmos) based on technical drawings or 3D models Measure complex optomechanical parts with CMM Accurately report measurement results Identify deviations and communicate them towards QA, SQA and R&D. You technically support the supplier quality department (SQA) in case the rejected mechanical parts are caused by an external supplier. Manage the calibration of all measurement tools in the Quality Department Ad hoc: support the incoming quality inspectors by determining measurement methods to be used for easy inspections with micro meter, high meter, calipers.
Your Profile:
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in a technical domain, or equivalent by experience Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Ideally, you have experience in measuring and evaluating mechanical parts via a 3D CMM Preferably, you have a good understanding of dimensional and geometric tolerances. You have basic knowledge of a CAD tool You have an analytical mindset You have good communication skills, both in Dutch and English, and build actively a network within the organization
