Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated CMM Programmer / Inspection Lead to serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all CMM-related activities. This role involves providing guidance and technical support to the inspection team, developing and validating CMM inspection routines, and performing complex inspections on materials and components to ensure conformance with engineering drawings.
ResponsibilitiesServe as the site's SME for all CMM-related activities, providing guidance and technical support to the inspection team.Develop, program, and validate CMM inspection routines and programs for new and existing parts.Perform complex CMM inspections on incoming materials and components, interpreting detailed engineering drawings and GD&T to verify part conformance.Train and mentor team members on CMM operation, proper fixturing techniques, and basic program interpretation.Write CMM programs from scratch, aiming to increase the number of programs from 2 to 3-4 per week.Manage and lead the team, overseeing 2 Quality Technicians and 2 Receiving Inspectors.Essential Skills3+ years of experience programming CMM equipment.Proficiency in Zeiss CMM and Calypso Software is preferred.Familiarity with other CMM software like PC-DMIS.Ability to write CMM programs from scratch.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with micrometer, caliper, blueprints, and quality inspection.Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
