Job Description The CMDB SME will lead the end-to-end implementation of a Configuration Management Database (CMDB), including tool evaluation, selection, and configuration. This role involves defining and cataloging Configuration Items (CIs) across both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments, designing data dictionaries and playbooks, and managing data imports via ETL processes. The SME will also develop integration interfaces, training materials, and testing plans, while supporting go-live activities and post-implementation operations. The position requires hands-on scripting and data migration skills, collaboration with stakeholders, and alignment with ITIL and service management practices to modernize infrastructure and support change and incident management. $60/hr to $80/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing CMDBs from scratch, including: • Defining and cataloging Configuration Items (CIs). • Establishing CI discovery standards and attribute collection. • Strong understanding of ITIL framework, especially Configuration Management, Change Management, and Incident Management. • Proven experience with ETL processes: extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources into a CMDB (leveraging SSIS, Talend, or Informatica). • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). • ITIL Foundation certification • Experience working in Operational Technology (OT) environments, particularly with Intelligent Traffic Systems (e.g., traffic signal controllers, CCTV, dynamic message signs). • Experience implementing iTop Service Management or CMDB software null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
