What does the ROLE entail?

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead group and event sales efforts, from initial inquiry through contracting and post-event follow-up.

· Manage key accounts and build long-term relationships with returning MICE clients.

· Oversee the sales processes are executed in line with Hyatt brand standards.

· Facilitate auditing of the sales systems ensuring client follow up is completed in a timely manner and ensuring business is converted.

· Handle Group and Event enquiries, quoting hotel information, rates and availability both verbally to clients and in writing within 24 hours as per agreed guidelines.

· To develop and schedule a calendar of activity throughout the year, focusing on specific targets and to consider quieter periods and how we market the hotel during these times.

· Collaborate closely with Revenue, Rooms, FB, and Operational teams to ensure accurate forecasting and flawless execution.

· To assist in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan and the monthly reforecast of revenues and expenses.

· Analyze business trends and contribute to the hotel’s strategy for increasing group business and conversion rates.

· Negotiate contracts within company guidelines, balancing client satisfaction with profitability.

· Conduct site inspections, and attend (local) industry events to represent the hotel and network.

· Conduct post-event evaluations together with Events Planning/Sales Managers and follow up on feedback to continuously improve services.

Leadership:

· To supervise colleagues within the department, making sure that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained.

· To maximize colleague productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling in order to meet the financial goals of the Department as well as the expectations of all people we serve.

· To conduct regular performance discussions and check-in conversations with colleagues.

· To encourage colleagues to be creative, challenging and recognizing them for their contribution to the success of the business.

· Mentor and guide team members, supporting their development and ensuring alignment with departmental goals.

· To lead following Hyatt’s Leadership Expectations.

Qualifications - External

Your EXPERIENCE:

· A degree or certification in Hospitality, Communications, or Business Administration;

· At least 4 years’ experience managing multiple properties and a track record of commercial success;

· Great language and communication skills in English and in Dutch;

· Great organizational and planning skills;

· An eye for detail;

· Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit for the country (we do not assist with Visa / permit applications).
