Cluster IT Administrator

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Administrator to join our team at Hilton Malta and DoubleTree by Hilton Malta. The successful candidate will support the IT Manager in overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s IT systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, safeguarding data integrity, and delivering excellent support to team members. This role is vital in maintaining our technology infrastructure to Hilton’s standards, enabling exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Support & MaintenanceAssist in the management, monitoring, and maintenance of hotel IT systems, including servers, networks, Wi-Fi, telephony, POS, PMS (Opera/OnQ), and back-office applications.Perform regular system checks, updates, and backups to ensure reliability and security.User SupportProvide technical support and troubleshooting to hotel team members on hardware, software, and connectivity issues.Train and guide team members in the effective use of IT systems and tools.Team Member Onboarding & Access ManagementSet up new team members on Hilton systems, including OnQ, The Lobby, and other required Hilton administrative platforms.Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels to ensure compliance with Hilton standards and security policies.Coordinate with department heads to ensure timely and accurate onboarding of all new hires.Security & ComplianceSupport the implementation and monitoring of IT security policies in line with Hilton’s standards and GDPR requirements.Ensure antivirus, firewalls, and other security measures are kept up to date.Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of all hotel, team member, and guest data.

Projects & ImprovementsAssist in the rollout of new systems, upgrades, and technology initiatives.Collaborate with the IT Manager to identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and system enhancement.Vendor & Partner LiaisonCoordinate with external IT partners, suppliers, and Hilton’s corporate IT team to resolve technical issues and ensure timely support.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of IT assets, licenses, warranties, and configurations.Document user access, onboarding activities, and system changes for audit purposes.Assist the IT Manager with incident logs, audits, and reporting as required.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in IT support or systems administration, preferably in hospitality or service industries.Good understanding of networking, Windows environments, Office 365, and hotel-specific systems (Opera, Micros etc.).Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.High level of integrity, discretion, and reliability.Flexibility to work occasional shifts, evenings, weekends, or on-call duty when required.
