About the role

The Cluster Director of Talent & Culture will play a pivotal role in driving the talent management and organisational culture strategy across the Rosewood New Zealand Hotels in Hawkes Bay, Northland and Queenstown.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for enhancing the employee experience, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, and ensuring the company's culture aligns with its values and strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Managing Director and based at Rosewood Cape Kidnappers, this position is responsible to drive and support the Talent & Culture teams at Rosewood Kauri Cliffs and Rosewood Matakauri. This is a full-time role that offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our dynamic luxury hotels.

What you'll be doing

Develop and execute comprehensive talent management strategies, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, and succession planning

Partner with business leaders to identify and address talent needs, ensuring the right people are in the right roles

Spearhead initiatives to strengthen the company's culture, promote employee engagement and wellbeing, and build a diverse and inclusive workforce

Oversee the human resources functions across all 3 locations, including recruitment, associate accommodation, policy development, employee relations, and compliance

Leverage data and analytics to inform strategic decision-making and measure the effectiveness of talent and culture initiatives

Collaborate with the regional (APAC) and global Talent & Culture teams to align practices and share best practices

Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on all matters related to people management and organisational effectiveness

What we're looking for

Significant experience (8+ years) in a senior Talent & Culture or Human Resources leadership role, preferably within the hospitality industry

Proven track record of developing and implementing effective talent management and organisational culture strategies

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels

Strong business acumen and ability to align people initiatives with the company's strategic objectives

Proficiency in data analysis and using metrics to measure and improve business outcomes

Passionate about creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment

Tertiary level qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
