Job Description

This role is focused on creating and maintaining a high profile and positive image for the hotel/s and encouraging customer preference for the hotel/s by effectively communicating with media and industry partners. The successful candidate will work directly with the hotel teams to achieve and deliver international, regional and local PR exposure, manage media relations and build loyalty amongst top tier media on behalf of the hotel/s and the brand/s, with the objective of keeping the hotel and the brand front of mind, driving revenue and helping the property to achieve their commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies for Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas and Anantara Layan Phuket Resort.Craft compelling press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to promote hotel offerings, events, and achievementsEstablish and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and industry partnersOrganise and host press trips, media familiarisation tours, and other PR events to showcase the propertiesManage crisis communications and reputation management across all three propertiesCollaborate with marketing teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channelsMonitor and analyse media coverage, preparing regular reports on PR performance and ROIIdentify and secure speaking opportunities and awards to enhance the hotels' profilesOversee the creation and distribution of internal communications to keep staff informed of PR initiatives and brand developmentsManage PR budgets and resources effectively across the clusterStay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to inform PR strategiesLiaise with corporate communications teams to ensure alignment with overall brand guidelines and objectives

Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas and Anantara Layan Phuket Resort.

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's Degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or related field. Master's Degree is preferred.At least 10 years of experience in leading a public relations team of international operations with evident track record.Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury hospitality or high-end tourism sector is required.Demonstrated success in managing PR strategies for multiple properties or brands simultaneously.Excellent verbal and written English skills are mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly Thai, is highly advantageous.Proficient in using computer software, publishing systems, and PR-specific tools such as media monitoring platforms and press release distribution services.Proven digital and social media skills, including experience in influencer marketing and social media crisis management.A sound understanding of MarCom, photography and video requirements, including experience in content creation and brand storytelling.Proven contacts within the travel & tourism sector – solid database of media contacts, airline partners and tourism boards.Strong relationships with international and regional lifestyle, travel, and luxury media outlets.Experience in organising high-profile events, press conferences, and media familiarisation trips.Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively across multiple properties.Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and cultures.Proactive, dynamic and able to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Flexibility to travel frequently between properties and attend industry events as needed.
