The Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Operating Unit (OU) is a newly formed team with a bold mission: to consolidate, simplify, and accelerate Microsoft’s presence across the DIB landscape. This expansive network includes over 100,000 organizations specializing in manufacturing, aviation, cybersecurity, and more—all united in their support of all Federal Agencies, including the U.S. Department of Defense and other mission-based intelligence and civilian organizations.

The DIB OU will directly manage and accelerate strategic and major DIB accounts across MCAPS Americas, while also enabling growth across other OUs. We’re building new relationships, transforming legacy operations, and helping our customers modernize with confidence.
We are currently looking for **Cloud Solution Architect** **Manager** **– AI Business Solutions** to join our team.
The Cloud Solution Architecture Manager provides support and guidance for the team in identifying and evaluating trends and gathering customer/partner insights to map architecture and digital transformation solutions to customer/partner business outcomes. Supports and guides team in developing and expanding existing impactful relationships with customer and partner architects, C-level technical decision makers (TDMs), and business stakeholders. Coaches team members to focus on customer/partner experience through efficient delivery. Drives adherence to Microsoft standards and recommended practices by setting expectations for the team around methodology and governance to ensure that the team identifies, communicates, and minimizes business and technical risks. Provides team with a holistic perspective of customer/partner challenges, industry trends, and competitor architectures to allow team members to engage with customers/partners, demonstrate Microsoft's value, and develop counter strategy.

**Responsibilities**
Lead the Cloud Solution Architecture Team for AI and Business Solutions (ABS) by:
+ **Driving Customer-Centric Delivery:** Coach teams to deliver seamless, outcome-driven engagements that align with customer success plans and accelerate digital transformation based on Microsoft architecture standards, methodologies and risk management practices.
+ **Developing Strategic Relationships:** Guide teams in building trusted partnerships with C-level technical and business stakeholders to influence decision-making and drive adoption.
+ **Translating Insights into Action:** Leverage customer, partner, and market insights to shape solution strategies, remove blockers, and influence product roadmaps.
+ **Managing Business Performance:** Oversee forecasting, scorecards, and pipeline health to meet business targets and ensure delivery on Microsoft’s Customer Promise.
+ **Practicing Operational Excellence** : Drive delivery through Unified, ensure milestones are tracked, labor is logged timely etc.
+ **Fostering Technical Excellence & Innovation:** Promote a culture of continuous learning, IP development, and technical readiness to stay ahead of industry trends and customer needs.
+ **Championing Collaboration & Culture:** Model inclusive leadership, cross-team collaboration, and knowledge sharing to build a high-performing, growth-oriented team culture.
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 3+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, and/or technical architect managers.
**Other Requirements:**
+ **Cloud Screening:** Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.
+ **Citizenship & Citizenship Verification:** This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government clearance.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Ability and Willingness to acquire and maintain a US Government Clearance
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 12+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
+ OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 6+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
+ 6+ years experience leading technical projects, teams, or functions.
+ Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
+ 5+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, and/or technical architect managers.
Cloud Solution Architecture M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
