What success looks like in this role:

Unisys is seeking a Cloud SME to lead and support cloud operations across AWS and Azure platforms, with a strong focus on Amazon Connect, Microsoft Entra, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). This role will be pivotal in ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments for mission-critical workloads in alignment with E8 and ISM standards.

AWS Cloud Operations

Manage AWS Organizations and Control Tower setup for multi-account governanceMonitor account health, billing, and usage thresholdsMaintain CloudWatch dashboards and alarms for operational visibilityReview and manage CloudTrail logs for auditing and traceabilityEnsure compliance with AWS Config Conformance Packs aligned to E8 and ISM controls

Amazon Connect & Related AWS Services

Maintain Amazon Connect configurations and integrationsSupport associated services:S3: Storage lifecycle, access controls, retention policiesKMS: Key rotation, encryption policies, audit readinessReplication: Monitor replication status and troubleshoot failures

Microsoft Entra

Maintain identity and access configurationsSupport policy updates and role-based access controlAssist with integration issues across Microsoft services

Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

Monitor host pool performance and session healthApply patches and updates as requiredCoordinate with Nerdio Manager for scaling and automation

Nerdio Manager (Recommended)

Manage automation workflows and cost optimisationMonitor provisioning tasks and alertingSupport reporting and dashboard configuration

Certificate Management

Oversee lifecycle of digital certificates across platformsEnsure timely renewal and compliance with security policies

You will be successful in this role if you have:

5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and operationsHands-on expertise in AWS (Amazon Connect, Control Tower, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config)Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra and Azure AVDExperience with Nerdio Manager is highly desirableFamiliarity with Australian Government security frameworks (E8, ISM)Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, Microsoft) preferred
