**Introduction** IBM Cloud Code Engine is the latest innovation coming from IBM's Public Cloud. As a cloud native developer on IBM Cloud, you'll be at the heart of implementing the next wave of IBM Cloud Serverless capabilities. **Your role and responsibilities** In the role as Cloud Front-End software engineer, you will - Work on every facet of the IBM Code Engine Cloud service to ensure a reliable quality product in production: from the earliest stage of product architecture, design and development to deployment, troubleshooting, and performance analysis - Implement production ready features and experiences for IBM Cloud Platform focusing on serverless technologies - Collaborate closely with UX designers to ensure the best possible user experience for our customers - Work in an Agile environment, developing software components in a continuous delivery fashion. - Embrace and promote agile development best practices like pair programming. - Operate the Cloud service you develop in collaboration with internal and external clients (DevOps). - Participate in periodic on-call rotation in a 7X24 environment. The local team works within a worldwide development team. Strong communication and teaming skills are mandatory. Working with customers on their requirements, feedback or issues is important for our product. Experience or a desire to work with customers is therefore a plus. **Required technical and professional expertise** '- 3+ years of experience in developing Web front-ends with one or more of the following technologies: nodeJS, TypeScript, React, etc. - 3+ years of experience in one or more web technologies: HTTP, REST, JSON, HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript etc. - 3+ year of hands-on development experience building applications with one or more of the following: Java, Node.js, Express.js, Golang, NoSQL DB, SQL, Redis, distributed caches, etc. - 3+ years of experience building and operating highly secured, distributed cloud services with one or more of the following: IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, DevSecOps, SRE, CI/CD, Docker, container orchestration, performance testing, DevOps etc. - Understanding of micro-service architecture and modern cloud programming practices. - Passionate about constant, continuous learning and applying new technologies as well as mentoring others. - Keen troubleshooting skills and strong verbal/written communication skills (English) **Preferred technical and professional experience** · Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (Linux Containers, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift) · Understanding of Serverless computing (e.g. IBM Code Engine) · Intensive collaboration across teams and locations · Operating components on Cloud and Linux · Automation of operations procedures (e.g. build, test, deploy) IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
