If so, let's talk. **Your role and responsibilities** This role focuses on designing and implementing backend services using Python, ensuring robust API development and smooth integration within AWS-based environments. The position involves writing efficient, secure, and reusable code integrated into CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with front‑end teams and other stakeholders. You will participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, and help shape event‑driven and RESTful architectures that support scalable applications. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Advanced proficiency in Python backend development * Strong knowledge of Python API frameworks, preferably FastAPI * Experience with SQL databases and data modeling * Hands‑on experience developing and deploying applications on AWS * Data processing expertise with Pandas or Polars **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Familiarity with AWS Lambda and event‑driven architectures * Experience building and consuming REST APIs in distributed systems * Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as GitLab CI or AWS CodePipeline * Understanding of secure coding, testing, and code review practices * Ability to produce clear technical documentation and specifications IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
