About the role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Platform Engineer with a strong focus on AWS and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. 

This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services and a solid foundation in DevOps methodologies.

Role Responsibilities

Engineer and deploy highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS.Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitlabImplement monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, security, and resilience.Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure system resilience.Collaborate with software development teams to integrate and deploy applications seamlessly.Troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).Stay current with the latest AWS services, DevOps tools, and industry best practices.

Experience / Competences

Extensive experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on AWS.In-depth knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM and EKS.Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.Platforms; Windows Server, Amazon Linux, RHEL, UbuntuExperience with container orchestration and management using Kubernetes and EKS.Strong understanding of network architecture and network security best practices in AWS.Good understanding of security best practices for AWS Services implementation.Experience in designing and implementing resilient systems, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).Experience with advanced monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).Knowledge of Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (such as wiz.io, Prisma Cloud, etc)
