Cloud Operations Support - Team Lead
Job Description Are you passionate about cloud technologies and love solving complex technical challenges? We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Cloud Operations Support Engineer to join our Managed Cloud Services Team! In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and reliable operation of our cloud infrastructure, supporting our critical applications and services. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following key areas: • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Providing expert support, troubleshooting, and remediation for virtual machines, containers, and cloud-native services across Linux and Windows operating systems within our cloud environments. • Vendor Collaboration: Liaising with cloud service providers and other vendors to resolve complex support issues and optimize service delivery. • Resource Deployment & Orchestration: Deploying, configuring, and managing cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage, networking components, and platform services. • Automation & Efficiency: Developing and implementing automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to streamline cloud operations, deployments, and routine tasks, driving continuous improvement. • Incident & Service Request Resolution: Acting as a Level I/II escalation point for complex incidents and service requests related to our cloud infrastructure and applications, ensuring timely resolution. • Cloud Projects: Participating in and leading various cloud-focused projects, from new service implementations to infrastructure upgrades and migrations. Skills and Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years in Cloud Operations or Systems Administration, with 2+ years in a leadership role. Technical Expertise Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP in enterprise-scale environments. Proficiency in Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows cloud instances. Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and familiarity with cloud-native tools. Leadership & Communication Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management capabilities. Experience with VDI solutions and cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, VPNs). Familiarity with cloud storage solutions (S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage). Exposure to global cloud operations and multi-region deployments.
