Name Resolution and IP Services (NRIPS), manages the enterprise DNS, DHCP and IPAM used for internal networks. We are looking for a **Cloud Network Engineer II** with a good grasp of DNS on enterprise networks, who can apply knowledge of network technologies to troubleshoot DNS and DHCP issues on large networks. In this role, you will independently develop reliable, secure, scalable, and high-performance designs for network components using Infrastructure as Code approach with DevOps. This succssful candidate for this role will have a background creating low-code or no-code workflows for monitoring and alerting based on network telemetry. This role is located at the Redmond campus with 3 days per week work in the office and 2 days per week work from home. Relocation support is available. Conducts retrospective debugging of solutions to identify root causes of problems. + Contributes to the design and implementation of automated tools and services to increase engineering efficiency, reduce operational burden, and reduce human errors in production. + Uses existing automation and makes suggestions for improvements to existing automation to increase efficiency, security, and reduce errors based on learnings and experience. + The ability to use network configuration tools and software to monitor and analyze network traffic and performance to administer changes to hardware and software, including throughput, individual response time, and availability. Act as the Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for service, including being on call to address any urgent issues that may arise. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical experience in network design, development, and automation + OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation + OR equivalent experience. + Experienced with the implementation of infrastructure implementation via DevOps pipelines with a good understanding of Terraform or BICEP. + Experienced with the Agile approach to engineering. + Experienced with data structures and database integration into low-code/no-code implementations. **Additional Qualifications:** + Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with reporting tools such as Logic Apps, Grafana, Power BI, Power Apps and other low code implementation platforms for monitoring system availability and performance. + Experience in hybrid environments with hands on experience with servers, networks, BGP, DNS, DHCP and IPAM. Cloud Network Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
