At AWS, we are hiring the best migration experts, who can help our clients and partners migrate their business-critical applications to take advantage of the global scale, elasticity, automation and high-availability features of the AWS cloud. Our consultants will collaborate with partner and client teams to determine migration strategies, build migration business cases, analyze application portfolios, perform application assessments, develop migration plans, design migration processes, implement migration tools, support the migration execution, and ensure operational integration. These professional services engagements will focus on leading our customers through large-scale migration programs, business critical application migrations or the usage of new edge technology. You will be using the AWS migration methodology and AWS migration services such as AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Discovery Service and AWS Database Migration Service.
Key job responsibilities
* As Migration Consultant you will work with customers and partners, leading them through planning, prioritization and delivery of complex transformation and migration projects, while collaborating with relevant Sales and Service Teams.
* You will assess customers current organizational capabilities to perform the cloud adoption. You will help customers to define target business outcomes and related work streams.
* Based on the assessment results you will develop and align roadmaps together with relevant stakeholders. As part of the customer engagements you will take ownership for topics such as Application Portfolio Discovery, Business Case Calculation, Migration Strategy and Migration Execution.
* You take care about identifying solutions that solve difficult technical or organizational problems for a Customer, Partner, or an internal team. You help your team recommending a suitable technology, business model, operating model, strategy, or architecture.
* As a Migration Consultant you support Sales Activities as Subject Matter Expert for upcoming opportunities.
* As an Amazonian employee you will create reusable assets and share those within and outside of the AWS organization. You will create and apply frameworks, methods, best practices and artifacts that deliver prescriptive guidance to customers, publish and present them in large forums and across various media platforms.
* This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed.
