Ford is seeking skilled, and ambitious professionals to help us be innovative and develop systems solutions. **Scope** Looking for a Technical Cloud Architect to be part of Enterprise Architect group who collaborate closely with IT Product teams. This individual will + Set the technical direction and implementation strategy with an end-to-end view, to deliver high quality cloud solutions. + Focus on overarching cloud strategy, industry trends and tool adoption and guide product teams to build best-in-class software development to support the needs and expectations of internal stakeholders. + Have an opportunity to gain cross-functional experience working with teams across the enterprise in solving critical business needs. With our incredible plans for the future of mobility, we have a wide variety of opportunities for you to accelerate your career and help us define tomorrow’s transportation. **What you'll do..** . **Position Responsibilities:** + Function as a cloud architect closely collaborate with software engineers to deliver scalable IT solutions. + Conduct Architecture reviews, data modeling, vendor evaluation process. + Collaborate with external and internal technical peers (Product Managers, Product Designers, Software Engineers, Architects, and vendors) to design and validate technical approaches and designs. + Contribute to creating systems solutions that are optimized for performance, scalability, and security. + Keep awareness of technology advances and recommend innovative technical approaches consistent with Ford enterprise IT direction. + Contribute to maintain a readied backlog and enable the team to go further with effective usage of Rally/Jira backlog management tool. + Advocate the use of agile methodologies and ensure implementation of DevOps and software craftsmanship practices like CI/CD, TDD tools. + Develop relationships and maintain a knowledge of the ecosystem. + Participate in triage and debugging sessions for tool integration issues. + Assist in gathering metrics to track product and data quality in meeting stakeholders’ requirements. **You'll have...** **Required Skills/Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science/Engineering, or related field and a minimum 10 years of enterprise architecture experience. + Extensive working knowledge of Cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure. + Deep working knowledge in Google Cloud Platform. + Knowledge in Cloud deployment, Infrastructure as code (IaC). + Experience with industry standard development environment, technologies, tools, and techniques including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery techniques, Agile Programming disciplines. + Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for creating solutions with an Agile Mentality + Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment with a curiosity towards new technologies and a strong desire to learn so that the team may benefit. + Good communication and collaboration skills and working with global teams. + Knowledge about API design standards, patterns, and best practices to create robust and performing integrated systems. + Ability to solve complex technical problems and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision. + Experience in developing associated business cases and plans which are detailed, actionable and aligned with industry best practices. **Even better, you may have...** **Nice-to-Have Skills/Experience:** + Cloud Architect certification. + High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work autonomously. + Working experience with containers Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker etc. + Working experience in cloud monitoring and alerting services and capabilities. + Candidate with full stack experience in cloud platform.
