Cloud Engineer - TS/SCI w/ Poly

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Ability to design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems

Experience in scripting using software languages such as Java and Python

Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues

Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies

Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance

Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team

Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs

Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker,  Ansible

Demonstrated experience utilizing DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery

Strong understanding of web services, API, REST

DESIRED SKILLS:

Familiar with Assessment & Authorization process and associated artifact collection process

Background utilizing Jira for documenting and tracking software development tasks

Documented experience with open-source technology, software development, system engineering and cybersecurity

Exposure to Terraform or IaC tools

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

Required Certification: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or higher

Location: Herndon, VA

Hours: Contract core hours, 9am - 3pm; rotational on-call responsibility for team coverage

Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
