Our team believes in the wisdom of crowds where every voice is valued, and we tackle challenging projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining work-life balance. **_The Impact:_** As a Cloud Engineer on the CARFAX Cloud & Platform Engineering team you will work with Platform Manager and Development teams to develop platforms in AWS EKS environment. By centralizing DevSecOps/Cloud capabilities into platform, we ensure dev teams can re-use common, hardened assets, with high availability in mind. We promote consistency by leveraging common dev tooling and certain global AWS capabilities, reducing security attack vector, and increase velocity of product feature delivery. **Responsibilities and Impact:** + Design, develop, deploy, and maintain robust cloud architecture solutions that directly support development teams across the organization + Lead design decisions and drive innovation through new technology research, prototyping, and evolving applications and processes + Collaborate with AWS engineers, architects, cloud engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality cloud solutions + Promote excellence in container orchestration systems and AWS platform design while continuously analyzing systems for improvement opportunities + Serve as a cloud evangelist, educating business stakeholders and development teams on proper cloud tools and services usage + Own the uptime and quality of critical systems, ensuring operational excellence and reliability for millions of consumers **What We're Looking For:** **Basic Required Qualifications:** + Experience with core AWS services (EC2, VPCs, Lambda, API Gateway) and proficiency with AWS Console, CLI, and SDK + Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AWS EKS preferred) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation) + Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, Golang, or Python) with cloud migration experience + DevSecOps mindset with operational experience and CI/CD pipeline development using Jenkins or GitLab + Strong communication skills with ability to be vocal and contribute to team discussions + Self-driven attitude with ability to quickly adapt to new technologies + Technical flexibility and openness to exploring different technology stacks + Documentation and teaching mindset with desire to help others succeed **Additional Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio), API gateways (Traefik, Gloo, Ambassador, Envoy), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) + ·Advanced AWS development experience with Lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS, and CloudFront + Knowledge of security and performance best practices for cloud architectures with advanced troubleshooting skills + Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Test Driven Development and Pair Programming + Passionate about continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies + "Automate everything" philosophy with strong problem-solving capabilities + Collaborative mindset with ability to understand and address development team pain points + Love to learn approach to get the greatest solutions we need, and to continually explore what’s new and be willing to dive in and learn **About S&P Global Mobility** At S&P Global Mobility, we provide invaluable insights derived from unmatched automotive data, enabling our customers to anticipate change and make decisions with conviction.
