Summary
The OCI Cloud Engineer is responsible for provisioning, configuring, monitoring, and supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments for enterprise workloads including Oracle SaaS ERP, Oracle PaaS solutions (OIC, APEX, VBCS), and custom applications. The role supports infrastructure deployment, connectivity, automation, and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Provisioning & Support
Deploy and manage OCI services including Compute, Block/Object Storage, Load Balancers, Bastion Hosts, and Database Services (ADW/ATP)Set up VCNs, subnets, security lists, routing tables, and internet/NAT gatewaysMonitoring & Operations
Monitor system health using OCI Monitoring, Logging, Alarms, and NotificationsImplement and manage backup, patching, and DR activitiesSecurity & Access Control
Configure IAM policies, groups, dynamic groups, and custom roles in OCISupport compliance with enterprise security standards and cloud governance policiesAutomation & Scripting
Write and maintain scripts using OCI CLI, Terraform, or Shell/Python for infrastructure automation • Assist in building infrastructure-as-code and DevOps pipelinesConnectivity & Integration •
Set up secure connectivity with Oracle SaaS using VCN Peering, FastConnect, or VPN •Support OIC and third-party integration deployments in OCI environmentsTroubleshooting & Incident Management •
Investigate and resolve issues related to OCI services, network latency, and access control •Work with Oracle Support for SR resolution, escalations, and patch coordinationRequirements & Preferred experience
3–6 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with at least 1–2 years on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)Solid hands-on experience with networking, compute, storage, and IAM on OCIKnowledge of Oracle SaaS/PaaS deployment architectures and OCI-native toolsFamiliarity with Terraform, OCI CLI, Git, and basic CI/CD operationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalentOCI Foundations or Architect Associate certificationExperience in managing Dev/Test/Prod environments for ERP/PaaS workloadsFamiliarity with hybrid cloud connectivity (VPN/FastConnect), ADW, and OIC deploymentsExposure to incident response, cloud cost monitoring, and tagging standardFluent in Dutch, English and French is a plusAble to work 2-3 days onsite at the office in BrusselAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
