Job Description:
Candidate will take lead technical role contributing to the architecture, implementation, automation, and deployment of a new cutting-edge cloud hosted security product with zero downtime goal to accomplish highly available SAAS service (99.999%)
Responsibilities
Contributing to the architecture and implementation of SAAS-based microservices, implement CI/CD pipelines, management infrastructure, tools, cloud-based monitoring, alerting and reportingBuild infrastructure as code using Terraform for KubernetesWork closely with quality assurance and software engineers to evaluate/recommend tools, technologies that will accelerate the development, testing and deployment of key solutions in the cloudFocus on automation, scalability, network security and high availability of all applications and processesWork closely with product owners, software engineers, and quality assurance to understand requirements, turning those requirements into operational actionPropose, design and develop software applications, tools, libraries as needed in support of devops needs.Track incidents, report out on, and participate in active on call activities to help resolve service issues in a timely manner, as necessaryTroubleshoot complex production issues at all levels of the stack by performing deep problem analysis to identify root cause and appropriate resolutionWork to reduce manual processes through automation and development of standardized practices for managing systems and servicesEnsuring cloud-based architectures meet availability and recoverability requirementsReview implementation of security controls and evaluate effectiveness, make recommendations for improvementsTrack/report out on key system performance indicators and metricRequirements
ProgrammingNetworkingTroubleshooting/OperationsLinuxVirtualization/ContainersImplementation/High availability5+ years’ experience as a Software, DevOps Engineer; BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experienceProficiency with at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, etc.) and RESTFUL web servicesIn depth knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and system admin practicesProficiency with config management tools like Ansible and CFEngineWorking knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, TCL, Perl)Proficiency with Kubernetes, Elastic SearchExperience with building, maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker and modern deployment methodologiesProficiency in building, managing, deploying AWS solutions (EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.)Working knowledge of Terraform and Argo Workflow/CDExperience working with geographically diverse teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBonus Qualifications
