Description Our Federal Government Client is looking for a Cloud Business Architect that has experience in the following: 1. Minimum 10+ years of experience working as a Cloud Architect with experience working closely with directors, solution architects, procurement specialists, and cloud operations teams to lead technical streams and support enterprise cloud initiatives. (multi cloud). 2. Previous hands on architecture experience standing up a cloud platform with IAAS & PAAS. (Knowing all the capabilities and what it requires to build up the landing zones, networking components and experience designing the cloud platforms.) A strong knowledge of this is required to understand and have a vast knowledge of what is a cloud platform and all of their capabilities and core concepts they offer on an infrastructure level. 3. Minimum 5+ years experience working within a multi cloud enterprise (minimum 3000+ users) environment within the government of Canada, drafting technical requirements. This role requires hands-on experience designing and evaluating cloud solutions across multiple cloud service providers (CSPs), including hyperscalers (e.g., AWS, Azure) and sovereign cloud providers (e.g., thinkon). This Cloud Architect will support the development of scalable, secure, and policy-compliant cloud ecosystems, including hybrid and “Cloud-in-a-Box” deployments. A strong grasp of cloud-native services, containerization, and data residency requirements is essential. Key Responsibilities: -Translate technical cloud requirements into procurement-ready documentation (e.g., IaaS, container services). -Align cloud solutions with GC policy, security, and sovereignty requirements. -Support multi-cloud and sovereign cloud architecture design, including “Cloud-in-a-Box” initiatives. -Collaborate with directors, architects, procurement experts, and cloud operations teams. -Advise on procurement models and recommend optimal technical and financial approaches.
