**Who we are** We are looking for a Cloud/Backend Developer with focus on IoT, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure that supports IoT devices and their data processing. This involves working with cloud platforms, databases, APIs, and other technologies to enable the functionality of IoT solutions. **What you'll be doing** + Develop, deploy, and maintain robust cloud-based services as a core component of the Jungheinrich IoT Platform, collaborating within a self-organized and international team + Spearhead the design, development, and operation of foundational services, with a strong emphasis on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), to enable secure and reliable software updates for Jungheinrich industrial trucks + Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across product and platform domains to ensure seamless integration and alignment, particularly regarding security considerations + Evaluate emerging (IoT) technologies and solutions, build prototypes, and contribute to the strategic decisions for our future platform and public-key infrastructure architecture + Drive customer value by developing innovative features for our software products, while also ensuring the reliability and performance of existing systems through ongoing maintenance and operations + Maintain a strong business and customer-centric mindset in all aspects of your work **What you'll bring along** + A University degree or advanced diploma in business or technical studies,e.g.,Business Administration,(Business) Informatics,etc.,ideally with a focus on logistics, or equivalent experience + At least 6 years of experience on a similar position is required + You possess deep knowledge and extensive experience in designing, implementing, and operating cloud infrastructure, with a strong preference for AWS + You are experienced in deploying and managing applications in cloud environments (preferably AWS), utilizing Infrastructure as Code practices with tools like CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi + You have proven experience in the end-to-end design, implementation, and operation of a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including certificate management, key generation, and security best practices + You possess strong proficiency in developing high-quality backend software using at least one major programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Kotlin) and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adopt new languages as needed + You are a highly conscientious developer with a strong commitment to writing secure, maintainable, and well-tested code, adhering to high quality standards + You embrace a culture of continuous improvement (CI/CD) and are skilled in monitoring and optimizing deployed solutions, with a focus on security and performance + You are a collaborative team player who thrives in an open-minded, international, and multi-cultural environment, actively participating in code reviews and pairing sessions + You have practical experience working with self-organized, agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban + You possess a solid understanding of critical performance factors, scalability principles, concurrency management, and system complexity + You are fluent in both spoken and written English + A strong interest or affinity for IoT technologies and the automotive/vehicle industry is highly desirable **What’s in it for you** ✔ New beginnings can be a challenge.
