This strategic leader will be responsible for designing and executing a large bank's migration from scratch, ensuring scalability, security, and regulatory compliance, while defining a robust Landing Zone and a solid Foundation on GCP. The ideal candidate should have experience in recognized migrations of large banks or experience in digital banks such as Revolut, Nu Bank or others. Must be expert in distributed architectures, application modernization and FinOps strategies for cost optimization. **Responsibilities** 1) Foundation / Landing Zone Design: a) Establish the initial Landing Zone in GCP for the migration, including project, network, identity, and security configuration. b) Design an organized account and project structure, ensuring workload isolation and integration with on-premise systems. 2) Migration Strategy and Architecture: a) Design and execute the comprehensive migration strategy for applications, data, and infrastructure components to GCP. b) Oversee the migration of critical services such as core banking, payments, and databases, optimizing their performance in the cloud. 3) Governance and Compliance: a) Implement security controls at the IAM level, VPC Service Controls, Cloud KMS and end-to-end encryption. b) Implement Zero Trust security policies and continuous monitoring. c) Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as PCI DSS, GDPR and SOC 2 in the infrastructure. In addition, compliance with local regulations in each country must be ensured. 4) Technical Leadership: a) Lead a team of architects (infrastructure, software, security) and ensure the technical success of the project. b) Promote Agile and DevOps methodologies to improve the continuous and automated delivery of services. 5) Hybrid connectivity and legacy system modernization: a) Design and configure hybrid connectivity (Cloud Interconnect and VPN) to integrate on-premise systems with GCP. b) Establish integration and modernization patterns for legacy applications. 6) Cost optimization and FinOps: a) Develop FinOps strategies to monitor and optimize GCP spending, ensuring maximum ROI. b) Implement automatic budgeting and alerts to detect cost deviations. 7) Supplier Relationship Management: a) Work with Google and other strategic suppliers to ensure successful infrastructure implementation. **Job Requirements:** 1) Professional Experience: a) +10 years of experience in technology architecture, with at least 5 years in the financial sector or neobanks. b) Experience designing Landing Zones and Foundations in GCP or other cloud providers (AWS, Azure). c) Experience leading large-scale migrations from on-premise systems. 2) Certifications: a) Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect (mandatory). b) Additional certifications in AWS or Azure are valued. 3) Technical Skills: a) Deep knowledge of cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, Cloud Interconnect) and Zero Trust security patterns. b) Experience with Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Apigee API Gateway. c) Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and Policy-as-Code. d) Advanced knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes (GKE), and CI/CD pipelines. 4) Knowledge of Security and Compliance: a) Experience with IAM, VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, and encryption policies. b) Ability to design architectures that comply with global financial regulations. c) Experience with CNAPP and Cloud Workload Security. 5) Leadership and Communication Skills: a) Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams. b) Ability to present strategies and progress to executive teams and regulators. 6) Language a) Advanced or native English b) Fluent Spanish **Education** • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect • Computer Science Engineer • Knowledge of the financial industry **_At Scotiabank, we value the unique skills and experiences that each person brings to the bank and are committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive and accessible environment for all.
