Job Summary:

Clinical Therapist will provide a comprehensive psychosocial assessment that identifies the need for substance use therapy. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide individual, group, mental health and/or substance abuse therapy. Perform biopsychosocial evaluations/treatments for a panel of clients with substance use disorders. Assist the clinical team by providing strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed assessments and treatment to clients with co-occurring substance use disorders. Provide crisis intervention as needed. Assist with monitoring substance use toxicology screens as needed. Collaborate with other members of the client’s clinical team. Provide clinical assessment including behavioral health diagnosis and referral for medication management when needed. Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, crisis intervention. Make referrals for treatment not provided by the program.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and medical record keeping system.

 

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

Spanish is preferred

 

Required Education and Experience:

Behavioral Health License required, such as: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or related field. Experience providing mental health and substance use treatment both group and individual therapy preferred. Experience in providing Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, Dialectical Behavioral Treatment, Seeking Safety Treatment, and working with criminal justice population preferred.

 

Travel requirements:

Some Travel- Weekly travel between two sites
