As a Speech Pathologist, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide care to patients within various Cleveland Clinic locations from Stow Falls to Middleburg heights. In this role, you will perform diagnostic speech pathology test procedures and evaluate communication and swallowing function of patients (from birth to 21 years or older). This includes interpreting and reporting test results to facilitate medical diagnosis, providing counseling and education about communication and the diagnosis to patients and their families, and determining therapeutic plans, including the need for therapy, frequency of treatment, focus for intervention, prognosis and duration of therapy. **A caregiver in this position works full time houts| 7:00am - 6:30pm|** **some** **evenings and weekends required| Position will be based out of Stow (Wed and Fri) and will also have a regularly scheduled day at our Middleburg Heights location. Two days per week the therapist will float to any CCHR Children's Therapy Services location, including Stow, Beachwood, Medina, Cleveland, Middleburg Heights, and Westlake.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide clinical services to patients. + Perform diagnostic speech pathology test procedures. + Evaluate communication and swallowing function of patients. + Interpret and report test results to facilitate medical diagnosis. + Provide counseling and education about communication and the diagnosis to patients and families. + Determine therapeutic plans, including the need for therapy, frequency of treatment, focus for intervention, prognosis and duration of therapy. + Select assistive speech devices to improve the patient's communication. + Perform re-evaluation to determine progress after therapy. + Provide observations about hearing and other behaviors to help determine the need for other services. + Maintain records of all services. + Communicate results and recommendations for improving communicative function to referral sources and outside agencies such as schools and employees. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology + Hold or be eligible for a Speech Pathology (SP) license from the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology + Hold a Speech Pathology license in the state of Ohio + Hold Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) + Completion of a nine-month clinical fellowship year Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Previous Clinical Speech Pathologist experience + Peds experience **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to stand for long periods of time. + Manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient to perform tests. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum Annual Salary: $63,250.00 Maximum Annual Salary: $96,467.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
