Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Assesses patient and/or family biopsychosocial needs and develops treatment plan in concert with physicians and other providersProvides individual psychotherapy, family therapy and group therapy utilizing evidenced based therapies to address psychiatric illnessesDocuments patient/family status and history, diagnosis, treatment plan, evaluation results, observations, progress in medical recordServes as a resource to other staff on community resources in area of specialtyServes as patient advocate and liaison with physicians, families, and community to provide quality care and address client needsProvides clients with community resource informationSupervises clinical social workers in the psychiatry department. Ensures all individuals provide care in accordance with regulatory and health system standards. Performs peer review at regular intervals.Provides orientation and onboarding support as needed for clinical social workers. Providers leadership and supervisory services to all direct reports.Collaborates with department leadership on strategic and operational initiatives related to psychotherapy services provided in psychiatry clinics.Time permitting and upon request from those pursuing clinical licensure, provide supervision to support their clinical hour requirements towards this licensure.Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
