Clinical Senior Project Leader
**Hours of Work :** 40 **Days Of Week :** M-F **Work Shift :** **Job Description :** **Job Summary** + Assist and collaborate with the Quality Director in propelling positive change and an environment of excellence in clinical quality, patient safety, and customer service. Instrumental in planning, designing, deploying, and diffusing clinical quality improvement initiatives throughout the organization in order to drive successful change. The primary role of this Clinical SPL will be to assist the Risk Manager with Incident Report review and prioritization, chart auditing, and risk management review. **Education** + Bachelor degree in Nursing required, Master’s degree in healthcare related field preferred. + Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing. **Licenses and/or Certification** + Texas RN License + Current certification in performance improvement preferred; Certification as LSSBB, PMP, MHS Silver Fellow, CPHQ, CPPS, or equivalent required within 18 months of hire. **Work Experience** + Minimum of five years relevant work experience, including project leadership experience, quality management or project management, patient safety, etc. **Related Work Experience and Other Skills** + Coaching/mentoring skills + Consistently follows the Standards of Behavior set by Methodist Health System + Effective written and verbal communication skills + Ability to influence others and work collaboratively with physicians + Excellent problem solving and critical thinking + Handles confidential material and information appropriately + Knowledgeable of hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards + Passion for quality, safety, and service + Positive attitude and approach + Self-directed, motivated with strong organizational skills + Understands the legal consequences of nursing actions and BNE regulations **Job Roles** + Responsible and accountable for clinical quality of the hospital through regular and ongoing tracer activities to assist in regulatory compliance readiness, documentation (charting), evidence-based practices, and clinical aspect review with problem identification and development of improvement/action plans. + Coordination of Action plans to address and close gaps in clinical workflows. + Provide support to workgroups, committees, and taskforces with process improvement and methodology to align with Quality initiatives and key strategic priorities. + Develop, educate and lead entity specific readiness teams; conducting regular and ongoing clinical tracer activities to assist in the aggregation of opportunities and the coordination of action plans to address and close gaps in clinical workflow and/or organizational work processes. Provide workgroups, committees and taskforces with exceptional facilitation, educational and communication skills [both verbal and written]. + Demonstrate an advanced understanding of project management, process improvement and performance improvement methods spanning multiple approaches [including LEAN, DMAIC, PDSA, brainstorming, etc.] Be regarded as a subject matter expert in the area of accreditation and regulatory standards; being available and willing to provide guidance relative to policy, protocol and guideline development to ensure compliance. + Responsible for using robust process improvement tools and methodology to develop, deploy and diffuse both small and large scale improvement initiatives in alignment with key strategic priorities. + Other duties as assigned. **Methodist Richardson Medical Center** **is a 443-bed, full-service, acute care hospital that serves Richardson, Garland, Plano, and surrounding areas in Dallas and Collin counties.
