Position Summary for RN: Functions as a staff nurse under the guidance and supervision of an experience R.N. Performs routine patient care assignments and carries out established nursing procedures utilizing the nursing process. The Telemetry/Stroke unit is located on 9 Central. Patients are under continuous electronic monitoring while on a telemetry unit. This automatically communicates measurements and data to receiving equipment for monitoring. The monitored heart rate, heart rhythm, breathing and more is communicated to a monitoring station for a medical professional to view. Education: Hold a current Texas permit or license as a Registered Nurse (BSN preferred) or a current Texas permit or license as a LVN. Training and Experience: Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association upon hire or transfer to department.
