Position Overview:
IU Health is looking for a dedicated Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. This full-time role operates primarily Monday through Friday during daytime hours, based out of the Oncology office at Ball.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the clinical and administrative aspects of oncology research projects.Collaborate with investigators, sponsors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth project operations.Communicate effectively regarding protocol adherence and patient care issues.Provide guidance and support to other healthcare professionals involved in research activities.Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.5-7 years of relevant nursing experience, with oncology experience highly valued.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).Additional advanced life support certifications may be required based on departmental needs.Knowledge of FDA regulations related to clinical research.Ability to perform thorough physical assessments.Phlebotomy skills, including blood draws and IV starts.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications.
