Clinical Research Coordinator
Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator Job Description We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Research Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing patient-facing activities, including screening, recruitment, and managing source documentation. The role involves documenting in EMR, ordering labs, and ensuring protocol compliance. You will be responsible for screening, consenting, and enrolling patients in oncology trials, following them through the course of therapy, and collaborating with clinical staff to schedule necessary appointments. Responsibilities + Screen, consent, and enroll patients in oncology trials. + Follow patients through their therapy course, ensuring protocol compliance. + Spend most of the time in the clinic, working with doctors during patient visits. + Ensure completion of questionnaires and execution of research procedures. + Coordinate with clinic staff to schedule appointments such as EKGs and vitals. + Work closely with nursing staff and medical assistants. + Collaborate with clinical staff for insurance authorizations. + Schedule appointments with infusion nurses. + Assist patients in managing side effects and provide them with a patient-specific calendar of events. Essential Skills + Minimum of 2 years of Clinical Research Coordinator experience. + 4+ years of oncology CRC experience for senior positions. + Experience in pre-screening patients, patient recruitment, and chart review. + Bachelor's degree. + Excellent organizational skills and ability to read and interpret protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Oncology experience is highly desired. + Patient study enrollment experience is required. + Ability to assist patients with different aspects of participation and side effect management. Work Environment The work environment is dynamic and includes working in a comprehensive cancer center. The center runs various trials, including pharmaceutical-sponsored Phase I and Phase II trials, and investigator-led studies. Clinical and data management teams work closely together, with disease teams determined by candidate experience and business needs. The role requires being on-site from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility. Benefits include reimbursement for the CCRC exam, coverage of ACRP membership fees, and potential tuition reimbursement. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
