Job Summary
The Brain Aging and Dementia (BAnD) Lab is part of the Martinos Center in the Charlestown Navy Yard. The lab’s research is primarily focused on neuroimaging (MRI, ultrasound, EEG, PET, MEG) and combining that imaging with behavioral and clinical variables to look at vascular contributions to brain aging and dementias. The lab’s study population is generally over the age of 50. Depending on the study, some recruit cognitively healthy adults, some individuals with mild cognitive impairment, and some with Alzheimer’s or dementia.The Clinical Research Coordinator I’s responsibilities include working independently under general direction of the PI and program manager to coordinate research studies. They will be responsible for patient scheduling and recruitment as well as subject-oriented study procedures. These include the administration of neuropsychological testing protocols, the careful monitoring of adverse events, obtaining vital signs, phlebotomy and blood sample preparation, and administrative duties related to the careful operation of the study protocol. They will be trained on setting up and running imaging modalities such as MRI and EEG and data transfer to appropriate data storage units.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Overall, the position will include the following primary tasks:
· Monitoring of research protocols and working with study staff to achieve research goals
· Coordinating all regulatory and compliance activities for their specific study
· Responsible for all IRB submissions and amendments
· Recruiting and scheduling subjects; ensuring volunteers understand all consent forms
· Coordinating scheduling of study with area collaborators
· Performing primary data collection at study visits
· Maintaining and quality checking study data
· Monitoring and reporting all adverse events
· Preparing annual progress report for IRB renewal of study
· Collecting and maintaining subject information database
