As a Clinical Rehab Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping patients restore function, improve mobility and achieve their highest level of independence. In this dynamic role, you’ll evaluate patients, develop individualized plans of care, and provide evidence-based treatment for a diverse caseload, including general orthopedics, spine, sports-related injuries, and neurological conditions. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care, while also taking on clinical management responsibilities as assigned. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, adaptable, self-motivated and committed to advocating for patients while contributing to a supportive, team-oriented environment.
This is a full-time position. A caregiver in this role will work Monday through Friday, with 2 late days until 7:00pm, and 2 early days from 7:00am to 4:00pm. Friday hours will be 7:30am to 4:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform a complete evaluation, develop a plan of care for patients and implement treatments in accordance with quality standards of the department.Orient new staff to procedures in area.Provide one or more in-services per year to educate staff on new techniques and development in specialty area.Attend continuing education programs outside of the department to maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of Physical Therapy skills and professionalism.Direct and supervise patient care.Participate as a clinical instructor for student Physical Therapists and/or Assistants as well as supply supervision to these students.Prepare written evaluations of student performances.Participate as a clinical instructor annually as well as participate in outreach programs and athletic event coverages.Attend CCF sponsored continuing education programs.Deliver case presentations at department sponsored programs.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational TherapyMinimum of 75 contact hours of continuing education in Orthopedic and/or Sports Medicine topicsLicensed in current state as a Physical Therapist (PT)Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationMinimum of 4 years experience as a Physical Therapist, with 3 years in Orthopedic and/or Sports Medicine specialtyMinimum of 12 weeks as a full-time clinical instructor for a physical therapist/assistant studentOne outside presentation within the last 2 years (study groups, professional organizations, college, etc.)Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk and maintain balance despite sudden load, in order to support patient from falling during gait training.Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm or leg during exercise program.Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or monitor patient's pulse.Visual acuity to observe patient's gross movement, gait, etc. in order to analyze bio-mechanical problems.Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families who may not be able to read.Ability to hear or understand patient's description of symptoms and response to treatment.Personal Protective Equipment:
