Clinical Psychologist
Job Description A psychological testing practice is seeking a full-time Clinical Psychologist / Clinical Coordinator to serve as the senior clinician and oversee all clinical operations. This role works closely with the Executive Director and Office Manager to ensure continuity of services and will transition into a Clinical Supervisor role for all testing-related appointments. Key responsibilities include: Conducting patient intake and clinical interviews to assess medical and mental health history, including biological, psychological, and social factors Determining the need for neuropsychological or psychological assessments and patient suitability for services Referring patients to external resources when appropriate Documenting symptoms, history, and relevant factors contributing to the patient’s condition Providing initial diagnoses and recommending treatment plans based on assessment results Selecting appropriate assessments and reviewing psychometrists’ work to ensure adherence to standards Grading and interpreting psychological and neuropsychological tests Preparing accurate, consolidated reports in compliance with professional standards Reviewing clinical reports with patients, explaining diagnoses in clear, relatable terms Making treatment recommendations and providing guidance on next steps and accommodations We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements Must Have Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited institution Valid Michigan license to practice psychology Familiarity with outpatient therapy practices; inpatient experience preferred Proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques highly desirable Experience with psychological and neuropsychological testing preferred Strong DSM-5-TR diagnostic skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations Prior supervisory or mentoring experience is a plus Nice-to-Have Experience in inpatient hospital settings Advanced management and leadership skills Longevity in previous roles and interest in long-term growth
