Clinical Pharmacy Support Assistant II - Watertown - FT

SUMMARY

Under general direction performs expanded and advanced level Clinical Pharmacy Support Assistant duties within the Clinical Pharmacy Department. Participates as an integral member of a medical team and is dedicated to delivering excellent customer service and strengthening the patient/clinician relationship. Able to use a high level of competency and high degree of autonomy in performing all Clinical Pharmacy Support Assistant functions.

Performs Clinical Pharmacy Support Assistant duties with higher level administrative functions added.

Schedule for this position is hybrid and when remote, the applicant must be able work in a private, secure area free from distractions with reliable internet.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required or certification in medical office administration required. Associate's degree in medical office administration program preferred.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of at least three years of experience in a clinical setting with at least one as a Clinical Pharmacy Support Assistant (a bachelor’s or associate degree may be substituted for one year of experience). Must be able to respond knowledgeably to a wide range of patient issues. Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling software and electronic medical records systems (Epic or equivalent). Strong problem solving and complex patient management skills preferred.

SKILLS

Able to communicate in a professional and appropriate manner. Strong interpersonal, customer service, time management, and organizational skills required. Must be detail-oriented and a self-starter. Strong task coordination skills with proven ability to multi-task.
