The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will lead a team of two Pharmacist Team Leads and ten full-time Clinical Pharmacists (Caseload Pharmacists), each of whom is assigned to manage individualized patient care throughout the duration of therapy. This role is essential to ensuring high-quality, patient-centered pharmaceutical care in the home infusion setting.
Key Responsibilities
Personnel Management
Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for Pharmacist Team Leads and Clinical Pharmacists.
Foster professional development and ensure alignment with departmental goals and IU Health values.
Quality & Safety
Lead quality assurance initiatives, including data analysis, trending, and root cause problem-solving.
Collaborate with the Pharmacy Quality Committee to monitor and improve clinical outcomes and patient safety
Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient cases.
Process Improvement
Drive standardization and simplification of clinical workflows.
Lead initiatives to optimize pharmacy operations and reduce variability in care delivery.
Team Member Engagement
Promote a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Facilitate regular team huddles, feedback loops, and recognition programs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with peer managers across the Home Infusion Department—including Cleanroom, Logistics, Nursing, and Business Operations—to ensure seamless care coordination and operational synergy
Additional Duties:
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and IU Health policies.
Participate in strategic planning and budget management.
Represent the pharmacy team in interdisciplinary meetings and initiatives

Provides comprehensive medication-related care for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. Acts in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals in the responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Is responsible for assisting the pharmacy director with preparing and performing all activities involving the pharmacy and therapeutics committee. Assists the Director in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Will assists in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for inventory management and the ongoing financial performance of the pharmacy.
• Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist
• Requires PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy.
• 5 - 7 years pharmacist experience is required
• Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics
• Management experience is preferred
