A caregiver in this role supports Team 1 within the Oncology/Hematology Specialty Pharmacy, collaborating with pharmacists, nurses, pharmacy technicians, physicians, and payor partners to ensure timely access to specialty oncology medications and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include reviewing oncology medication orders, supporting oral chemotherapy and anticancer workflows, providing patient counseling and education, answering drug information questions, and conducting patient outreach and follow-up. This role offers strong clinical exposure within a specialized oncology-focused team, an emphasis on caregiver development, and the opportunity for remote work following initial onboarding. **This is a remote position after initial onboarding. A caregiver in this role will work rotating 8hr shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. No weekends requirements or major holidays. On-call expectations are expected.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services. + Verify medication orders and/or dispenses medications accurately according to state and federal regulations. + Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner. + Actively contribute to medication safety initiatives. + Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards. + Directs staff appropriately to provide safe and efficient care and maintain professional working relationships with all caregivers. + Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers and/or patients. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + PharmD or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy + Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire + For individuals required to administer immunizations, Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days of hire are required. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Board Certification + 1-2 years of oncology pharmacy experience + Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience preferred + Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience preferred for Clinical Pharmacists hired in a Specialized Pharmacy practice area (i.e. Oncology) **Physical Requirements** : + Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time. + Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 30 lbs. + Position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting. + Must have normal or corrected vision. + Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person **Personal Protective Equipment** : + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum Annual Salary: $101,900.00 Maximum Annual Salary: $155,390.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
