The Clinical Nurse - Wound Ostomy - PRN provides direction and coordination for a specific patient population with disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. The primary area of expertise is in wound, ostomy, and continence management. This position also serves as a consultant to the healthcare team, offering specialized knowledge and support in these areas.Key Responsibilities:  Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with wound, ostomy, and continence needs, ensuring high-quality healthcare delivery.Serve as a consultant to the healthcare team, providing expertise and guidance on best practices in wound and ostomy management.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans and educate staff on wound and ostomy care techniques.Monitor patient progress and outcomes, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize healing and patient comfort.Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding wound care, ostomy management, and continence issues.Stay current with the latest advancements in wound and ostomy care through continuing education and professional development.Qualifications:  Associate of Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license required.Must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required; other advanced life support certifications may be required based on unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.Current certification in Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (CWOCN) is required within one year of becoming eligible for certification.Why Join Us:
