Clinical Nurse - #Staff

We are seeking a **_Clinical Nurse_** in the Asthma and Allergy Clinic who will play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to patients undergoing allergy testing and treatment. This position supports patient care coordination, allergen administration, and emergency response while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Provide nursing support for outpatient clinical area. Practice nursing to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
+ Prepare and mix antigens used for allergy testing and immunotherapy in accordance with established protocols.
+ Perform patient triage both in-person and via telephone, assessing needs and escalating care as appropriate.
+ Administer medications and allergen immunotherapy, monitoring for reactions and ensuring patient safety.
+ Conduct comprehensive patient assessments following allergen administration and monitor for adverse effects.
+ Educate patients and families on allergen exposure, treatment plans, medication use, and emergency interventions (e.g., epinephrine use).
+ Respond to allergic emergencies or anaphylactic reactions using appropriate clinical protocols.
+ Collaborate with providers and support staff in care coordination and documentation to enhance patient outcomes.
+ Assist with electronic in-basket management including reviewing test results, processing prescription refills, and responding to patient messages.
+ Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to institutional and regulatory documentation standards.
+ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing clinical education.
+ Serve as a resource for clinic support staff.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Individual must be a Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Maryland.
+ Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in Allergy/Immunology, Primary Care, or Emergency Response.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
+ A minimum of three years of RN experience

Starting Salary Range: $64,600 - $113,300 Annually ($85,000 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
