neuropsychologist to work within the new premier Class A ambulatory Ayer Neuroscience Institute Multispecialty Neurology Center Norwich CT This new center will bring together neurosurgery pain management memory care PMR headache epilepsy stroke neuromuscular neuroimmunology infusion general neurology primary care rheumatology and advanced diagnostic imagingmdashall under one roof The clinical neuropsychologist will join our growing team of dedicated and skilled neuropsychologists This position is a collaboration between the Institute of Living and Hartford HealthCarersquos Ayer Neuroscience Institute and reflects our commitment to embedding behavioral health services in medical settings throughout the systemThe neuropsychologist is an essential member of the comprehensive care team and performs outpatient neuropsychological evaluations and consultations for adult patients with neurological disorders eg neurodegenerative disease autoimmune disease neuromuscular conditions movement disorders etc The neuropsychologist works closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote an understanding of brain functioning and impairment inform diagnosis and develop an appropriate treatment plan The neuropsychologist is adept at gathering relevant historical information analyzing integrating and interpreting data and findings completing timely detailed and accurate documentation and providing comprehensive feedback to the teamProgram SummaryThe Department of Neuropsychology enjoys active involvement in the hospitalrsquos rich history of training and provision of exceptional care Departmental neuropsychologists participate in clinical care research training and multidisciplinary collaboration at multiple sites within Hartford HealthCare including the Chase Family Movement Disorders Center Memory Care Center Epilepsy Institute of Living outpatient and inpatient psychiatry and Hartford Hospital medical inpatient and inpatient rehabilitation Opportunities
