Job Summary

MGB Salem Hospital: The Neuropsychological Assessment Center at Salem Hospital MGB is seeking licensed or MA license eligible neuropsychologists to provide neuropsychological and psychological assessments for children and adolescents in the Neurodevelopmental Clinic (NDC). Salem Hospital is a member of the Mass General Brigham Health Care Network that includes MGH, Brigham, McLean, Newton Wellesley Hospital, and other MGB Institutions. We are located in Salem, MA, a lively city with numerous restaurants, green spaces, and beaches; a world class art museum; and unique culture and history. Additionally, it is easy to travel by car, train or ferry to Boston or visit any of the coastal towns of the Northshore.


 

Qualifications

The Neuropsychological Assessment Center is a lifespan clinic comprised of 10 staff psychologists, a post-doctoral fellow, and many fee for service clinicians with specific areas of interest and expertise. The NDC receives a wide range of referrals resulting in opportunities to work with children aged 2 through college age in a dynamic setting with supportive administrative staff and colleagues. Referral questions are varied and include ADHD, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, language/communication disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, and trauma. A percentage of individuals are referred with complex medical histories including post-concussion syndrome, seizure disorders, in utero substance exposure, and genetic disorders. Options to provide supervision and run seminars are available to qualified staff clinicians through the training program as are opportunities to provide care and consultation within other psychiatry services at the hospital, which includes pediatric inpatient psychiatry unit, adolescent partial hospital program, and three busy outpatient clinics.  

Experience with a range of neurodevelopmental disorders; including autism spectrum, attention deficit, and intellectual disabilities required. Interest in and experience with psychological testing, including projective measures, and/or young child (<5 years old) preferred. Option of part-time or full-time salaried position with excellent benefits is available, including funds for trainings and CEs and productivity credit for attending CEs. Salary is based on experience and years licensed. Newly licensed starting salary is $95,000. Supervision and mentoring are available for newly licensed or license eligible individuals. Case conferences and monthly speakers are featured during staff meetings. Full-time employees are eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
