Imagine a place where your voice carries science forward and your knowledge becomes a catalyst for progress — that’s what this role offers.
Your new role
As Clinical Medical Manager, you will play a unique role in bridging Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations, collaborating cross-functionally to support clinical trial execution, scientific communication, and stakeholder partnerships across Greece.
Day-to-day your responsibilities will include:
Identifying and mapping Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and research centres in relevant therapy areas while collaborating with clinical teams during feasibility and allocation. Supporting protocol development and optimizing trial design and execution with strategic insights gained through interactions with external medical/scientific experts. Conducting advisory boards, scientific meetings, and other events with healthcare professionals (HCPs) on relevant medical topics. Partnering with clinical operations on trials through scientific discussions at site selection and initiation visits, driving investigator engagement, and supporting trial results dissemination. Transferring medical knowledge across functional teams by serving as a deep subject matter expert and fostering collaboration, innovation, and communication in scientific interactions. Representing Novo Nordisk nationally and internationally through attendance at congresses, company events, and site visits.
Your new department
As part of the Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR) department within Novo Nordisk’s International Operations, you’ll join one of the most diverse and collaborative teams in the organization. You’ll work closely with dynamic and passionate colleagues who focus on improving health at scale while bringing tangible results to patients worldwide.
At CMM, we act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential. You will be part of a dynamic team with a strong medical affairs presence in Diabetes and Obesity, as well as selected Rare Diseases, including sickle cell disease, thalassaemia and acromegaly. At CMM, cross-functionality is central to how we work, creating synergies and adding value through collaboration with clinical operations and medical affairs by providing medical/scientific expertise and advice based on interactions with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), independent professional associations and patient advocacy associations as necessary. Your area of responsibility will be all areas in Greece, where clinical trials are conducted.
Your skills and qualifications
To succeed as Clinical Medical Manager, you’ll bring strong scientific communication and engagement skills, scientific expertise, and a collaborative approach, while thriving in a dynamic and multifaceted environment. We’re looking for someone with:
A MD, PhD or Masters degree in a biomedical science, with strong research expertise (pharmacy or Master of Science background with relevant clinical trial experience can also be considered). 3+ years of experience in industry or clinical research within a university or pharmaceutical setting. Previous experience as a clinical trial investigator or sub-investigator preferred. Expertise in therapeutic areas of relevance, especially chronic and rare diseases (authorship in peer-reviewed journals a bonus). Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage others and collaborate across functions. Understanding (or willingness to learn) the nuances of the local healthcare infrastructure and pharmaceutical drug development.
