The Pharmacy Services Department is seeking an experienced business professional to join the team. This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager Automation and Emergency Medicine Services. This role is responsible for supporting pharmacy automation systems through provision of analytics for informed decision-making and maintaining functionality to support the goals of the department and patient care needs. For more information about the UMHS Department of Pharmacy Services, see our annual report at: https://www.medicine.umich.edu/dept/pharmacy/pharmacy-annual-report **GENEROUS BENEFITS PACKAGE** + Health insurance + Paid Time Off + Retirement plan + Opportunities to earn continuing education credits at in-house education programs **Responsibilities*** + Maintain and support select pharmacy automation systems within the Department of Pharmacy Services. + Maintain and support select pharmacy automation systems within the Department of Pharmacy Services. + Partners with stake holders both internal and external to leverage pharmacy automation solutions throughout the enterprise to enhance medication safety, medication delivery, and patient care. + Works with colleagues from other departments (Willow, Analytics, etc.) to develop interconnected solutions to support drug distribution activities throughout the Michigan Medicine enterprise. + Develop and create presentations, reports, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders to support decision making, workflows, or complex customer needs. + Conduct spot checks to make sure that systems are functioning as expected and designed. + Mentors and teach other staff (internal and external to the Department of Pharmacy), provide ongoing assistance to advance projects and ensure optimal use of the technology solutions. + Other projects and duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager Automation and Emergency Medicine Services and/or the Pharmacy Director of Automation. **SUPERVISION RECEIVED** + This position will report to the Pharmacy Manager Automation and Emergency Medicine Services. **SUPERVISION EXERCISED** + None **Required Qualifications*** **Associate Level:** + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience pertaining to the position. + Ability to independently manage multiple projects with competing priorities with organizational skills and flexibility to meet deadlines. + Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal and written to internal and external constituents and apply a high degree of analytical, interpretive, and evaluative skills dealing with complex concepts, projects, etc. + Self-motivated with an ability to work well with teams. + Demonstrated ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. + Experienced with standard office tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc). + Possess or be able to obtain a Pharmacy Technician license with the State of Michigan **Intermediate Level:** + Bachelor's degree in a related field. + 3+ years of experience. + Ability to independently manage multiple projects with competing priorities with organizational skills and flexibility to meet deadlines. + Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal and written to internal and external constituents and apply a high degree of analytical, interpretive, and evaluative skills dealing with complex concepts, projects, etc. + Self-motivated with an ability to work well with teams. + Demonstrated ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. + Demonstrated ability to lead team members to accomplish a common goal. + Experienced use with standard office tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) + Possess or be able to obtain a Pharmacy Technician license with the State of Michigan **Desired Qualifications*** + Bachelor's degree in a field pertinent to the position + Advanced degree in Analytics, Public Health, Health Administration, Business, or Data Science. + Depth of experience and proven track record implementing and support pharmacy automation systems within healthcare organizations. + Epic EHR Proficiency or Certification. + Certification within BD Pyxis systems + Experience and credibility interacting with all levels of leadership. **Modes of Work** Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
