Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Clinical Educator - Registered Nurse (RN) plays a pivotal role, reporting to the Manager Clinical Support, in enhancing the skills and knowledge of clinical staff. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating orientation and ongoing professional development programs specifically for clinic leadership and non-provider clinical staff (e.g., Medical Assistants, LVNs, and RNs).
Key responsibilities include developing educational plans informed by best practices and regulatory guidelines, and leading and coordinating training delivered by other Clinical Educator-LVN staff. The RN Clinical Educator will assess clinical performance against established standards, organizing annual skill assessments and competency evaluations. They will collaborate closely with clinic supervisors and managers to address individual learning needs. Ultimately, this role aims to develop engaging, clinically relevant educational activities aligned with Dignity Health Medical Foundation's mission, ensuring that all clinical staff are equipped to provide high-quality, effective patient care and meet all regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Four (4) years of clinical nursing experience requiredPrevious teaching experience, knowledge of ambulatory care regulations, Joint Commission Standards and scope of practice for LVN and RN requiredBachelor degree in Nursing (or related field) requiredCurrent California Registered Nurse (RN) license requiredCurrent BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, and effectively communicate with a variety of staff (administrative/clerical, medical assistants, LVNs/RNs, providers, office managers) with different skill levels requiredKnowledge of clinical informatics, computer skills, and adult learning theory requiredPreferred Qualifications:
