Clinical Documentation Educator, Coding Experience Required - Remote Location US-NJ-Camden Job ID 52321 Category Professionals Shift 1 Type Full Time Department Name Clinical Doc Impr Education 1 Cooper Plaza Short Description Reporting to the Supervisor of the Clinical Documentation Team the Clinical Documentation Educator, through diverse assignments, supports and participates in educational activities to improve of the quality, completeness and accuracy of clinical documentation for Cooper University Physicians (CUP.) Experience Required Physician coding and compliance experience with significant emphasis on/strong background in procedural, surgical and/or Evaluation and Management services.Training and presentation experience with physicians and other clinicians both individually and in groups.Accomplished in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and other supplemental training materials.Previous work experience in the auditing and coding of professional clinical documentation; both handwritten and electronic medical records. Education Requirements

High School Diploma required

Some college or bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate degree in nursing or other relevant associate degree also considered. 

License/Certification Requirements

CPC and/or CCS-P; CRC or intent to sit/pass exam within 1 year of hire. 

Nursing certification and/or Compliance certification a plus

 

Valid Driver’s License (will need to travel to CUH satellite locations as necessary)
