The Clinical Director of Operations is responsible for day to day operations throughout the continuum of the surgical episode and is independently responsible for the Connecticut Orthopedic Institute COI program at Midstate Medical Center MMC Effectively leads the service line in operational excellence and efficiency service delivery growth management and financial performance Works collaboratively with other Institute leaders to develop the program and improve quality Teach leads coaches and mentors service line reports Builds cohesive relationships with internal and external customers and ancillary departments at MMC Job ResponsibilitiesProvides day to day leadership as it pertains to the continuum of Institute operations and is individually responsible for the Institute and is accountable for its performance Responsible for developing operating policies and guidelines for assigned areas as necessary Serves as the primary stakeholder in new productequipment requests as well as physician recruitment engagement experience and retention Actively leads andor participates in local service departmental and hospital committees and councils as neededIn conjunction with the COI Regional Program Manager facilitates program and clinical development by leading Medical Advisory Boards assuring standards of care and operational excellence is achieved throughout the continuum of care Establishes annual performance goals for the Institute and directs operations to ensure achievement of those goalsProvides clinical support as delineated by education and professional certificationsProvides indirect oversight of the COI Advance Practice Provider Team Serves as a resource to department managers within and across service lines as it pertains to the Institutersquos operations and colleagues Coaches and mentors direct and indirect reports provides feedback and constructive critique of work facilitates the development of problem solving and decision making skills and documents job performance annually Follows progressive disciplinary action process or oversees subordinates in doing so to maintain productivity and performance standards
