Overview

This position oversees delivery of services for an Intensive Rehabilitation Treatment Program. Supervises personnel to achieve service, clinical, and financial objectives within general resources and reimbursement models. This position will provide and develop clinical services that promote person centered treatment and facilitate independence for adult individuals with mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders

Responsibilities Clinical over-site of all services at a set locationIn charge of organizing admissions and dischargesConducting Assessments (ex. Diagnostic, LOCUS, Mental Health Review, Suicidal, and evaluation level of danger/risk)Interprets and summaries findings with recommended treatment/rehabilitation activities and goalsHires new employees and warranting of corrective actions when needed Over-sees the development of the individual treatment/rehabilitation planOver-sees Case CoordinationPrevents crisis at the lowest level of escalationProvide direct service to clientsOn-Call DutiesWeekly supervision with direct reportsConduct weekly staff meeting for location Utilize behavior management strategiesEnsures quality assurance including person served outcomes and service outcomesOversee compliance with locations license and CARF accreditationMaintains competent and effective personnel at budgeted staffing patterns and salary rangesWilling to help othersWrite progress notes, summaries, and discharges as neededMedication AdministrationAssist in the development and execution of the annual budget and program contract within the county time frameRecognizes responsibility to meet bed utilization goalsManages program budget for household expendituresFlexible and effectively utilizes time.Handles information in a confidential mannerCommunicates in an open and honest mannerNotifies proper authorities of circumstances or situations that present possible health hazardsObserves and implements established policies on health, safety, security, code of conduct, regulation, and company policiesEnsures all documentation is completed as required. Reports significant / major incidents or accidentsCooperates in external / internal investigations as requestedEstablishes high levels of mutual trust and support with othersProvides coaching/learning environmentIdentifies successes and areas for improvement for employeesExpresses positive expectations of others, even in difficult situationsDelegates tasks or responsibilities for the purpose of developing other’s abilitiesRewards good performance and promotes employee recognitionProvides clinical training to new/transferring employees. Develops and implements staff training programs designated to meet staff educational needs, licensing standards and consumer needsEncourages staff to report issues of non-compliance through appropriate channelsConduct Employee evaluations when scheduledProvides clinical direction to program staffProvides and develops clinical services that promote consumer choice and facilitates independenceSupervises operations to ensure compliance with contractual, legal and regulatory requirementsProvides clinical input and supervision in treatment and plan developmentPerforms other duties designed to improve employee effectiveness as a member of the team, promoting the operation in a positive manner to the community and outside agenciesPromotes/encourages community integration and choice makingProvides the necessary clinical management for the day-to-day operations of the program and maintenance of the locationOther tasks as assigned Qualifications Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or closely related field required.Licensure required (LICSW, LP, LPCC, or LMFT)Minimum of 4000 hours (post Master’s) of verifiable work experience providing services and support to individuals with mental illness.Two-year previous supervisory experience preferred (must be clinical supervision)Valid Driver’s License and valid car insurance Ability to communicate verbally and in writingExperience in managing systems, processes, and peopleWorking knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations concerning services to individuals with mental illness, including IRTS VarianceOperate general office equipmentGood organizational skills and attention to detailProven supervisory skillsCapable of working responsibly with highly confidential informationMust be able to work independently as well as part of a teamExperience with Diagnostic Assessments requiredModerate Travel

Physical demands: Must be able to utilize proper body mechanics while lifting up to 50 pounds, must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull reach, sit, and walk for periods of time. Must have fine vision, sustained vision, and peripheral vision. Must possess sufficient eye/hand coordination to operate office, adaptive, and household equipment.

 

Work environment: Light and ventilation as found in typical home or office setting. Hazards may exist if the employee fails to use proper body mechanics when lifting or transporting an individual or item, if vehicles are not operated safely, or if proper techniques are not used when intervening with individuals. The possibility of blood borne pathogens exists if universal precautions are not followed.
