Clinical Dietitian – Make a Meaningful Impact Through Nutrition

What You’ll Do:
As a Clinical Dietitian, you’ll be a vital member of the interdisciplinary care team, providing expert nutrition services that promote wellness and improve outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments, including Nutrition-Focused Physical Exams when applicable.
Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized nutrition care plans.
Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate Medical Nutrition Therapy.
Evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and ensuring continuity of care through clear documentation and hand-offs.
Educating patients and families with meaningful, science-based nutrition guidance.
Serving as a resource and educator for internal teams and external partners.
Supporting initiatives in patient satisfaction, quality improvement, performance excellence, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or a related field is required - Master’s Degree preferred.
Must be a Registered Dietitian or RD eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. If RD-eligible, must pass the examination and registration for RD designation within 90-days of hire.
If working in the outpatient environment, licensure in both states of Oregon and Idaho are required.
Must be licensed in state of employee’s primary work location within 90 days of hire.
3-5 years of clinical nutrition experience is preferred.
Must be proficient in using an EHR/EMR system.
Essential Functions:

Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan—from neonates to geriatrics.
Translate complex nutrition science into practical, personalized care.
Deliver engaging in-services and educational sessions for healthcare staff.
Act as a liaison between Food and Nutrition Services (FANS) and patient care units.
Maintain compliance with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Scope and Standard of Practice, state licensure laws, and organizational policies.
Be adaptable and open to additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Travel between health system sites may be required.
